T-HAWK

Picture
T-HAWK is a native musician and artivist on the red road with a unique blend of traditional and contemporary music in the form of
NATIVE HIP- HOP. As the West Coast Music Award winner Contemporary artist of the year for 2009 and 2010, indigenous roots are the foundation of the sound that soothes the spirit and shakes the soul.

He is an enrolled member of the Mohawk tribe of the Haudanasaunee (Iroquois) peoples via. Six Nations Reserve, Oshweken, Canada (by mother,
turtle clan) from the east. This highly influences his combative lyrical style that is reminiscent of the east coast. T-HAWK also creates and produces
his own eclectic, ambient beat style of the west coast reminiscent of his Polynesian roots (by father) via. The Kingdom of Tonga. A group of islands located in the South Pacific Ocean. T-HAWK would also like to show respect to his grandfather’s tribe and clan: Tuscarora, Bear Clan.
This musician and lyricist is an inspirational spiritual warrior combining many elements of Native style music making with hand drum, shakers, flutes, and many other organic instruments formulated and sprinkled with
traditional chants and singing over the digital backdrops. The lyrical content is spiritual, native, movement, conscious, with a positive outlook
reflecting his spiritual journey across the Turtle’s back.
This unique sound is recognized by t-hawk to be a gift from the Creator. This awareness is the reason and life purpose of T-HAWK, to bring enlightenment to the masses and awaken the spirits of the (idle)
indigenous population across Mother Earth. The sacred connection to Creator and Mother Earth is eminent, honoring this connection through actions and deeds while living in these times of prophecy, it is important to be able to walk as a modern day warrior and at the same time maintaining traditions.
The knowledge and wisdom reflects the light of his ceremonial experiences within each and every song. Songs from his most recent albums The
Blessing and A Purpose can be reviewed and listened to at:

REDHAWK WOMAN

Picture
REDHAWK WOMAN is a published poet and spoken word artivist on the red road with a spiritual native indigenous persepective.
She has been writing poems almost all of her life. Reflecting on the world around her, she realized the eyes she sees this world with were always changing. As she grew into a woman, the ancestors found their way into her heart again, reminding her of the indigenous blood that flows through her. With the guidance of the ancestor’s she has lead a soulful journey. Her poetry is for the seen and the unseen, the old one’s and the new one’s who have graced her life with their presence.
She shares her thoughts, dreams, experiences and passions with you… so you may find inspiration on your journey, so that you may inspire others. Giving a voice to the soul of her words or words to the voice of her soul… is why she writes and shares this with all of you.

She is of Cherokee (Goss Family), Deer Clan, Osgage ancestory on her fathers side, and from Apache "Lipan", Azteca, Mexica on her mothers side.
Redhawk Woman sings and drums traditional songs, as well. She has performed spoken word and done opening ceremonies at large event venues on the West Coast of Turtle island as well as in Hawai'i. She currently has two books ready for publishing, a poetry book and a children's book. She is on the 13 Grandmothers 4 Directions Rainbow Council as the youngest Grandmother.
As a Grandmother on the council she speaks at gatherings about inspiring yourself and creating circles of people who have the same inspirations, so projects, environmental, a spiritual callings have a strong voice. Protecting sacred ceremonies, sites and traditional ways, she speaks out when called to do so. A herd of White Buffalo have also influenced her path, with their messages.
The people of the Hawai'in Islands and the mana (energy) of the Islands have influenced her in spiritual ways as she feels the lokahi (unity) of the connection between turtle island natives and polynesian natives. While on Maui for a Grandmothers gathering Redhawk met Anthony and Jamie Natividad, they brought a musical instrument called the nose flute to the gathering. Anthony (RIP) a well known musician, made Redhawk as well as the other women in attendance their very own nose flutes and taught them how to play the instrument (namakua).

Redhawk met T-Hawk at an Elder's Council at Earthdance in California. When
T-Hawk and Redhawk Woman saw each other again, they realized that a coloboration on some songs would be a way to share good music medicine with the people.

"To inspire others you must first be inspired yourself. Do what inspires you! You never know who will be inspired by your journey."

"When you are authentically you, it shines through for others to see. They are attracted to that light and gravitate to the energy, it is then passed on through them. A smile of kindness and compassion goes a long way." ♥ Redhawk Woman
